Promotions, green coffee and lots of new things brewing… We had too much to share with you to fit in just one newsletter, so we decided to put it in our blog! This way, you can easily go back to it if you have any questions.
Aside from the fact that we are considering adding new functionalities to our site, such as a customer loyalty program, automatic orders and even finding us on amazon.ca, here are the new features that we have just added or will be adding soon!
First of all, a few months back we created a FAQ in our Customer Care menu. We were receiving many emails often asking the same questions, so creating one became essential. There you will find a list of the most popular questions and our answers to them. Don’t hesitate to check it out.
Second, you may have noticed a new option on some of our products, a green coffee option. More and more people were asking us for unroasted, green coffee, so they could roast it themselves. With this option, it is now much easier for you to order some. All you have to do is choose 10. Whole Grain for the Grind (of course), then choose Yes for the Green Coffee / Unroasted option. The roast selected will be ignored, the price will be adjusted with a 20% discount and your coffee will be sent to you unroasted.
Third, please note that shipping costs with Purolator will increase slightly for orders under 10lb. The usual cost of 5$ will unfortunately go up to 7$. Consequently, the default shipping option will be set to Canada Post, so as to not surprise you with unexpected costs. If you prefer to receive your order by Purolator, please make sure to choose the right shipping option!
Speaking of shipping options, did you know that you can now choose for your order to be Safe Dropped (or not) if you’re not at home to receive it? Just check your preferred option on the checkout page. Please take note that it is still at the discretion of the delivery person, since they can decide that there is no safe place to leave your order and you might have to go pick it up at your closest post office or Purolator center, unless clear instructions are given by you to do otherwise. Because if you choose the Safe Drop option and something were to happen to your order, the shipping company and Northern-Coffee.ca cannot be held responsible. For those of you using Canada Post, maybe using their FlexDelivery service would be a good alternative. Also, when you select Canada Post as your shipping option, your tracking number will no longer be sent by us, but by Canada Post directly in an automatic email, so if you want to track your order, please check your inbox for their email.
Our website is finally getting a makeover!! Somewhere between now and September 11. Gone will be the burlap! Our site will have a cleaner, more refined look, and hopefully, a more enjoyable user experience. We’re very happy with it and we can’t wait to show you. A heartfelt thank you to the professionals at Zone W3 for this great redesign.
