Behind the Cup
Cultivated on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro near the Kenyan border, the Tanzania Peaberry possesses many of the qualities that characterizes Kenyan coffees, only much lighter in acidity. Tanzania produces arabicas that are considered as some of the best Africa has to offer and the Tanzania Peaberry is in a class of its own, as are all African coffees.
Did you know? Peaberry beans are very rare: we estimate that they account for about 5% to 10% of the worlds’ crops. A natural mutation happens inside the coffee cherry, where a single bean gets fertilized instead of two, which would yields a bigger, oval bean with a cleft in it.

This is one of the best coffees I have ever tasted! There’s a natural berry flavour to it, but not too strong as to distract from the rest. And it goes down really smooth, no unnecessary bitterness to it. I highly recommend trying it.

This has become our new breakfast coffee favourite! Smooth and rich, strong without being bitter.

I suspect that this one in particular would be a favorite among a lot of coffee drinkers because of it’s extremely smooth taste, a subtle sweetness of berries, and almost no acidity or bitterness.
I really loved this, and I agree with another reviewer that it is a great breakfast coffee.
With that said, everything we have tried from here has been beautiful so I see no way of going wrong. How lucky we are to have such a wonderful source of exceptional quality coffee that can be delivered straight to our doorsteps.

Magnificent coffee, Medium Roast, very well balanced and plenty of flavor. Not too dark nor too strong, perfect for morning espressos!
